Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (Breakwater Blvd., Cape Town) – this is South Africa’s most visited destination by tourists. A variety of shopping and entertainment options exists, along with hotels, a hospital, and a marina. Since the waterfront is located between Table Mountain and Robben Island, the Nelson Mandela Gateway is based here (offering boat trips to Robben Island). The waterfront is named after Britain’s Prince Albert (who started its construction in 1860) and his mother, Queen Victoria.
